How we got our name...

We now have LIVE CHAT HELP on our web site!

 Welcome to our first blog...

I'm Dr. Swine H.D. (Head Hawg in Charge)

I bet your wondering how we got our name. Well, the story goes...
A few years ago we were tired of gearing up with inferior products and not having the will to spend $$$$. Highly Dangerass has really long hair and hated wearing skull-wraps. But I wore them and after washing them a few times it was into the grease rag pile. Anyway...
Highly, set out on her creative way to create something different. And she did. We gathered all her work and embroidery art, and yea, she really went to town making products till her machines wore out. So we took it to Run 21 a few years ago. And we were very successful regardless of the confusing name we had.
"Hair Dominator" It confused everyone for sure! But, we knew we were onto something...

As you can see!

Those are the lovely "Sin Girls"! Oregon
But after the weekend, we knew the name had to go! So after a whisky or 2, and a smoke...It dawned on me that we should use Highly's name! Jackie is always going beyond the norm, what ever normal is. And got stuck with the nick name "Highly DangerASS". It made sense, why not?! And Highly Dangerass was born.
Now for a Logo! I Highly is an Art Major specializing in Advertising. So I'll let her spit her drool about her logo adventure. It's interesting, like it was a script for a movie, I swear. Well, that's why she earned her name. (wink)

Hi! It's Miss Dangerass here to tell the adventurous tail of how we developed our logo and Dr. Swine! By the way, I hate a boring life, so I am always on a "Mission".
...When I first got onto social networking sites, I met a man named, "Graveminder" AKA: Wayne Wright, a much Loved Biker Artist and well known for his art contribution being sold by the Heritage Mint Foundation. Anyway, we started chatting online most every night. We had a lot in common, and I needed help with my project. We had got to talking and he became my mentor. I loved his work of bikes, cars and pin up girls. He lectured me on the men I was dating, and was such a gentleman about hiding his feelings, not thinking he was healthy enough for a relationship. Besides he was still living with a broomstick riding bitch. I felt for him. And that I eventually found my own homegrown relationship. Then one night I asked him what he was working on?

And he showed me This wonderful Booty Pik! His talent was amazing! A few nights after he showed me this, and a few more, he surprised me with my very own logo!
And I cried... She was all mine, from a brother who reached out to help a friend with an amazing piece I could be proud of. We both knew it would be a huge hit with the guys, and gals who could appreciate Pin Up Art. Then he taught me how to stop people from stealing it. He gave me the chore of the text! hahaha How could I do this justice???
Believe you me, I tried many, then one night after a good long smoke and feeling confident from Wayne and The Swine...I knuckled down and got busy. And this is the Logo Wayne and I created together.

I am saddened to say Grave is not with us any longer. One day I had an emergency that the Swine had gone down hard. Not on his bike, but doing a good deed and keeping a promise. Landed him @ the ER, after the paramedics ripped his "NEW JEANS" off and his shirt, and I was informed he said, "touch my boots and DIE!"  Needless to say, he recuperated in a few days and on his journey home.... Anyway...After 3 days of agonizing worry, I finally get home to my mess, and I was trying to call my friend Grave I got the most horrible news, that he had passed away.  Believe me, I felt like my world was falling apart around me and it was too heavy for me to bare.  One night after I was able to turn off the water works, I sat and just talked to Grave in my mind, and low and behold, we knew each other soo very well...I could actually hear him talking to me and mentoring me on the situation.
I remembered all the conversations we had, and started to know in my heart that I need to keep my promises I made to him. He was a very generous man...And he wanted to do good for people he admired.  He was like a big protective brother. SO I am on my way to keeping my promise to make his dreams come true. His art will carry on, and 1/3 of the funds collected for his art we will showcase in metal, hard back books, canvas...Will be donated to fallen soldiers, and starving artists. We are proud to be the trusted keeper of the man's talent and passion. We spoke the same language. I know after the last few years, he is looking down on me and saying, Good Job Highly! You can accomplish anything you set out to do. You have heart, and tenacity.  Don't ever give up, and screw 'em all, if they can't take a joke! (feeling the loss)...must take a break and continue this later. I hope you all now understand the meaning behind Highly Dangerass.
Much Respect, Dr. Swine + Highly Dangerass
